Malaysia's Ashley Lau and Singapore's Amanda Tan missed out on LPGA cards but gained Epson Tour status for 2023 following the gruelling 144-hole LPGA Q-Series in Alabama, which ended yesterday.

Lau continued to hang tough through the final four rounds at Highland Oaks in Dothan and finished T55 with an eight-round total of eight-under-par 566 (71-67-76-70-71-71-70-70), three shots shy of making the top-45 and ties who earned LPGA status for 2023. The first four rounds were played at Magnolia Grove in Mobile last week with a 72-hole cut to top 70 and ties.

Tan meanwhile finished in sole 70th spot at two-over par 572 (74-71-72-67-73-73-70-72).

Lau and Tan were among those who finished outside the top 45 and ties and who completed all four pre-cut rounds, thus earning Epson Tour status for 2023.

Korea's Hae Ran Ryu finished on top of the final leaderboard at 29-under-par, two shots ahead of American Bailey Tar. Colombia's Valery Plata and Germany's Aline Krauter tied for thrid at 25-under par.

A total of 46 players earned LPGA status for 2023 from the Q-Series, including Dottie Ardina of the Philippines who finished on the mark in T45 spot on 11-under-par.
