Following her solo third finish at last week's Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic, Malaysia's Ashley Lau kept the momentum going to secure another top-five finish at the Epson Tour's Circling Raven Championship in Worley, Idaho.
Lau opened her campaign at the Circling Raven Golf Course with a one-over-par 73, having three bogeys against two birdies on her card. Succeeding an improved round of four-under-par 68 on day two, Lau maintained her form to sign in a low round of seven-under-par 65 to finish in joint fifth position on 10-under-par with America's Laura Waern and Hira Naveed and Robyn Choi of Australia.
Picking up a cheque worth $7,652 and increasing her total earnings to $26,173 for the season, the 23-year-old moves up 15 spots on the Epson Tour's Race for the Card standings, bumping herself up to 47th place.
The Malaysian is currently well-placed to book a spot within the top 35, which will get her straight into the LPGA Q-Series which is the final stage of qualifying for the 2024 LPGA Tour.
The Epson Tour is the official qualifying circuit for the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour, where the top 10 players on the Race for the Card rankings following October’s season-ending Epson Tour Championship will earn LPGA Tour cards for 2024.
The Circling Raven Championship was won by China's Yue Ren, with a playoff victory over first and second-round leader Chanettee Wannasaen at 13-under-par 203.
