Malaysia’s Alyaa Abdulghany and Natasha Oon made strong showings at this week’s Copper Rock Championship held at Hurricane, Utah from April 27-29. Alyaa and Oon finished T6 and T8 respectively, while Savannah Vilaubi claimed the title after a two-hole playoff victory against Jenny Coleman and Therese Warner.

Alyaa opened her campaign with a four-under par 68, followed by impressive rounds of 65 and 71 to finish 12-under par and be in T6 with United States’ Gigi Stoll. This week’s joint sixth finish marks the 24-year-old’s first top-ten finish for the season.

Oon carded rounds of 67, 69 and 69 to be in T8 on 11-under par. Following this week’s T8 finish, Oon successfully secured her fourth top-ten finish in five starts this season.

Meanwhile, Savannah Vilaubi (63-69-69) took home the Copper Rock Championship trophy in dramatic fashion, winning in a two-hole, three-person playoff against Jenny Coleman (70-67-64) and Therese Warner (65-69-67).

A bogey on the second playoff hole was all it took to help the former University of California, Riverside Highlander, Vilaubi secure her maiden Epson Tour victory.

The Epson Tour will be making its next stop to Buffalo Dunes Golf Course Garden City in Kansas for the Garden City Charity Classic at Buffalo Dunes, which is set to take place from May 5-7.
