Over 100 young talents battled it out in the third leg of the Srixon Malaysian Junior Development Tour held at Palm Resort Golf and Country Club in Johor from 29 November to 1 December. Participants were divided into three age groups, each with gross and nett categories for both boys and girls.
Muhammaded Ajmal Amin Mohd Fajri who triumphed in the Boys A (15-18) division in the previous leg, once again captured the title with a 221 (77-72-72) total, five shots ahead of second-placed Derrick Kong DiSheng (226 73-76-77). Following in third place was Muhammad Muhaimin Mohd Nar at 234 (77-78-79).
The Girls A (15-18) category saw Yan Yinuo take first place with a total of 230 (77-79-74). Finishing three shots behind was Eireen Syafeeya Efizan at 233 (83-74-76), while Siti Nurfarah Fasha Mohamad Hasan shot a total of 245 (81-81-83) and claimed third place on countback from Aarthi Ganesan (81-80-84).
Muhammad Adlan Mohamed Nizam scored a total of 234 (78-78-78) to win the Boys B (13-14) category, while Ezekiel Riz Hafi Suzearitz came in second on 241 (77-79-85), followed by Lim Hao Yu at 250 (85-80-85).
Girls B (15-18) category winner Nur Batrisyia Balqis Abdul Ghani submitted a 238 (82-80-76) total. Nur Diana Syafiqah Abdullah clinched second place with a total of 240 (80-80-80), edging Ngo Yi Belle (74-83-83) on countback.
Daichi Hayashi claimed a wire-to-wire victory in the two day Boys C (10-12) category with superb rounds of 71 and 76 for a 147 total. Finishing runner-up with a 150 (74-76) total was Azka Azfar Saiful Azhari, followed by Uwais Alqarni Shahmira at 151 (73-78).
Wang En Xi once again topped the Girls C (10-12) category with a 154 (77-77) total. Finishing five shots behind on 159 (78-81) was Vikasni Laakshithaa Bala Subramaniam, followed by Park Kyoungwon in third place at 163 (77-86).
The fourth leg of the Srixon Malaysian Junior Development Tour will be held on the 13-15 December at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club.
