Malaysia's Malcolm Ting won the men's title in the 11th Warren-Uniforce Amateur Open in Singapore with an impressive three-round total of four-under-par 209.

Ting carded rounds of 72, 67 and 70 at the par-71 Warren Golf Club course, finishing four shots ahead of Australia's Abel Eduard (72-69-72). Third place went to another Malaysian, Muhammad Nasrullah Zulkifli, on one-over-par 214 (71-72-71).

The ladies' title meanwhile went to Singapore's Inez Ng Xin Yi with a total of three-under-par 210 (74-68-68), two shots ahead of compatriot Hailey Loh (72-67-73). Another local player, Yu Shang, was third on 222 (75-71-76).

The World Amateur Golf Ranking event saw 77 golfers from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Denmark, India, Costa Rica and South Africa teeing off.

Founded in 1962, Warren Golf Club boasts an 18-hole golf course as well as extensive social and recreational facilities at Choa Chu Kang Way. The club has a present membership strength of around 4,000, consisting of both local as well as foreign members.
