SEA Games Gold medalist Ng Jing Xuen adds another title to her name with her triumph at the 37th Templer Park CC Malaysian Ladies Amateur Open (MLAO) held at Templer Park Country Club, Rawang from July 25 - 27.

Carding in a pair of 72s in her first two rounds, Ng entered the final day trailing two shots behind Hong Kong's Lau Hoi Ki. Racking up a total of three birdies and a sensational hole-in-one on the par-three 8th, Ng's closing round of two-under-par 70 gave her an eventual five-shot victory over her three closest competitors.

Sharing second-place on three-over-par 219 were National No.2 Mirabel Ting, Singapore's Inez Ng and compatriot Charlayne Chong.

Ng became the first Malaysian to clinch the title since Nur Durriyah Damian in 2016.

Rounding up the top five was Liyana Durisic who wrapped up the week on five-over-par 225.

During the three-day tournament, two remarkable hole-in-ones were recorded. The first outstanding feat was accomplished by Maisarah Hezri on the 16th par 3 hole during round one of the event. She earned two AirAsia return tickets to Busan, Korea, and was granted a one-year membership at Templer Park Country Club.

Ng narrowly missed winning the Corolla Cross Hybrid car prize, which was only available on the second day of the competition. Despite this, she didn't leave empty-handed as she was also awarded a one-year membership at Templer Park Country Club.

Ng is gearing up to claim back-to-back victories with her eyes on next week's prestigious RSGC Ladies Amateur Open from August 1 -3.
