Jeneath Wong will be joining an international field of up to 72 women amateurs at the 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur which takes place from March 29 to April 1.

The Champions Retreat Club in Augusta will be hosting the first 36 holes of the event before switching to Augusta National for the final round featuring the top 30 players who make the cut.

The Pepperdine freshman, who’s ranked 49th in the world, will be the fourth Malaysian making an appearance in the tournament. Wong, thrilled and grateful for the opportunity, is absolutely pumped and looking forward to her debut.

“I’m really honoured to be invited to play in this prestigious tournament and competing with all the top amateurs around the world at amazing golf courses. My family is also travelling from Australia and, overall, I think it would be such a memorable and impeccable experience,” she shared.

Top ranking amateurs who have previously competed in the event include Loy Hee Ying, Alyaa Abdulghany and Ashley Lau. No Malaysian has yet to enter the final round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
