Galven Green seeking third win on Toyota Tour at Corolla Cross Cup, Audrey Tan leads by one in Ladies' Championship
On-form Galven Green followed up with a consecutive five-under-par 67 to secure a one-shot lead heading into the final round of the Corolla Cross Cup.
Green leads on 10-under-par after an undeniably hot day here at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club.
Sabahan Nicholas Fung, who matched with Green's 67 low round of the day, sits in outright second despite a thumb injury. Two shots back of Fung in third place is Sukree Othman (68), while young professionals Daeng Rahman (69) and Paul San (69) are lying in joint fourth position on six-under-par after day two.
Overnight leader Kenneth De Silva returned with a 76 to tumble down the leaderboard and sit in tied 11th position.
Green, who was despite shaky off the tee, kept his composure and finished with one eagle, five birdies, and two bogeys on his scorecard.
"There was a bit more recovery to do out there since I was shaky off the tee. But I got my irons in play and worked on giving myself lots of chances," shared Green who turned professional in 2020.
Setting himself up for a third win on the Toyota Tour after winning the Alphard Cup in 2023 and the 2024 season-opening Tun Ahmad Sarji Trophy, he will be entering the final round with a focus on giving his best.
He said: "Winning is always a nice thing, but I will just go out there and play the best that I can tomorrow."
In the Ladies' Championship, Audrey Tan posted a one-over-par 73 to grab a one-stroke lead over overnight leader Ainil Johani Bakar (76).

Tan, who made a return to the competitive scene, entered the Corolla Cross Cup with little expectations.
"It's my first tournament in six months and I entered with zero expectations. So, I will also be going into tomorrow with zero expectations," she said.
Amalia Shahzan lies in third place with a two-day aggregate of seven-over-par, with Tan Ying Ying one shot further back in fourth. Rounding up the top five and ties are Qistina Balqis and Pang Hee Jie on 10-over-par.
