Major Champion Bernhard Langer and his 23-year-old son Jason posted a final round 59 to overcome a three-shot deficit to win the 2023 PNC Championship.

This triumph marked Benhard's fifth victory, after previously winning with eldest son Stefan in 2005 and 2006, and Jason in 2014 and 2019. The two-time Masters champion has also competed with both of his daughters, Jackie and Christina.

Asked about how he felt on winnng his 5th PNC Championship, Bernhard replied with: “Very special. It's always special whether you win or not, just being here is like the Olympics. They only take 20 teams and there's probably 25 on the waiting list that would love to be here. It's always a wonderful thing to get an invitation to come and play here, and as you all know, I've got four kids, played with all four of them, and we have a lot of wonderful memories.

Also, from now on, I'm on vacation. So, this is a bonus here. When this tournament is over, we're heading tomorrow to Europe to Germany and spend time over there.”

His son, Jason, also shared how much this meant to him.

"“It was a ton of fun. I said it earlier, but I don't get to play as much golf anymore, and I don't get to see my parents and my family quite as much. To be able to play golf as a family and in a beautiful spot and great competition and play a really good golf course, it's amazing," said Jason.

Earning runner-up position on 23-under-par over two days was David Duval and son Brady, followed by Team Singh one shot adrift in third place on 22-under-par.

Tiger Woods and 14-year-old son Charlie tied for fifth in their fourth outing at the PNC Championship after a two-day aggregrate of 19-under-par.

“I think the whole week, to be able to share it with my family. To have both my kids out there the last two days has been so special. Just grateful for us to be able to have these types of experiences, for Charlie and I to have done this for four years in a row now since the start of COVID, to be able to come out here, and for all of us as families to come out and enjoy the week, it's special. And for me, I haven't seen a lot of these guys because a lot of them are on the Champions Tour and quite frankly I haven't played a lot. So it was nice to catch up with them this week and see all their families," said Woods.
