Malaysia's Shahriffuddin Ariffin two off the pace heading into final round of Taiwan Glass Taifong Open
Malaysia's Shahriffuddin Ariffin posted a six-under-par 66 to be two shots adrift leader Suteepat Prateeptienchai heading into the final day of the USDD400,000 Taiwan Glass Taifong Open held at Taifong Golf Club.
The 24-year-old who was at six-under-par at the beginning of the third round after carding in a 73 on Friday, surged up the leaderboard with a total of four birdies and one eagle to be on 12-under-par.
Thai Suteepat Prateeptienchai takes the lead after shooting a six-under-par 66 to sit on 15-under-par, while his compatriot Chapchai Nirat carded a 69 and is in second place on 14-under-par.
The Malaysian was among the top ten on last year's Asian Development Tour Order of Merit List and claimed fourth place on the list to earn playing rights on the Asian Tour in 2023.
Currently in third position, Shahriffuddin is bidding to become the next Malaysian to win on the Asian Tour since Danny Chia's victory at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters in 2015.
Only one more event remains after this week, the Saudi Open presented by Public Investment, with the top-65 on the Asian Tour's Order of Merit list receiving their cards to play in 2024.
