Amir Nazrin clinched his first All Thailand Golf Tour title at the season-opening Boonchu Ruangkit Championship held at the Rancho Charnvee Resort and Country Club.

Amir, who qualified for the tour back in December, became first Malaysian to triumph on the All Thailand Golf Tour after tapping in for par to win the championship.

The 26-year-old carded superb rounds of 68, 67 and 65 to be one behind local hope Gunn Charoenkul at the start of the final day. He closed off the final round with a one-over par 73 to finish at 15-under par and win by one shot over Charng-Tai Sudsom (THA).

Following in at solo third was Tawi Polthai (THA) at 13-under par. Chanat Sakulpolphaisan (THA) and Gunn Charoenkul (THA) shared fourth placing at 12-under par.

Amir’s victory puts him on top of All Thailand Golf Tour’s Order of Merit as the Malaysian takes home a total of 750,000THB.
