Aldwin Kendarwan and Geraldine Wong won the Selangor Amateur Open men's and ladies' titles respectively at Seri Selangor Golf Club today.

Aldwin, who is from Indonesia, carded rounds of 72, 71 and 72 for a one-under-par 215 total and a one-shot victory over Muhamad Nasrullah Zulkifli and Zia Izzuddeen Abdul Rashid. Nasrullah closed with a superb round of 66 at the challenging Seri Selangor course to climb up the leaderboard.

"Lowering my expectations this week made me a lot calmer. With the competitive field and tough conditions, coming into this tournament with almost no expectations really helped me, but I'm still surprised with this win," said Aldwin.

Following in fourth and fifth place respectively were second day leader Brandon Lai Chung Weng (219) and Umar Khushairi Muhd Kamal (221).

Despite a recent lack of tournament play, Wong captured the ladies' title with a score of two-over par 218 (74-72-72). She won by eight shots from Ng Jing Xuen.

"It was quite nervewrecking because it's been a few months since I played competitvely, but I worked really hard in preparing and it paid off," said the 22-year-old Wong.

Following in third place was Maisarah Hezeri with a total of 230.
