Top national amateurs Marcus Lim and Mirabel Ting take the first round lead of the 13th TSM Golf Challenge Cup at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) which began today.

Lim, who just finished his junior year at Sacred Heart University, carded an impressive round two-under par 69 to top the leaderboard after day one. Trailing one behind him was Southeast Asian (SEA) Games silver medalist Malcolm Ting (70), while Rizq Adam Rhohizam currently sits at third on even-par 71.

Rounding up the top 5 are Muhammad Fakhrul Aiman and Muhammad Ajmal Amin Mohd Fajri after returning with identical scores of one-over par 72.

In the girls’ category, Mirabel Ting surges ahead with a superb four-under par 67. Ting moves five shots clear of SEA Games gold medalist Ng Jing Xuen who carded a one-over par 72 for the day. One shot further back is Charlayne Chong Shin at two-over par 73.

Alongside earning points for the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), the winners of the TSM Golf Challenge cup will be granted an incredible cash prize of RM133,800 to help further both their golf and education journey.
