The MercedesTrophy will make a much-anticipated return to Malaysia this June to July. Now in its 32nd year, the premium amateur series allows Mercedes-Benz owners to experience the brand through their passion for golf.

The Malaysian chapter will consist of five qualifying rounds, with the first two taking place at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club in Selangor, on June 15 and 16. This will be followed by the third qualifying round at Forest City Golf Resort in Johor on June 30, and the fourth and fifth legs at the East Course of Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) on July 6 and July 7.

The first four legs will see participants competing in three categories - Men's A (Handicap 0-12), Men's B (Handicap 13-20) and Men's C (Handicap 21-24). The fifth leg at KLGCC will be exclusively for ladies who will compete in the Women's D (Handicap 0-36) category.

The top five finishers in each men's category and the top three from the Women's D category progress to the National Final at Saujana Golf & Country Club in Selangor on July 21. At the National Final, the top two players will earn coveted spots in the MercedesTrophy World Final which takes place later this year in Stuttgart, Germany, the birthplace of Mercedes-Benz.

The first player to score a hole-in-one on any of the two designated par-3 holes at each venue will win the all-new Mercedes-Benz E 200 Avantgarde Line, worth RM330,240*. Other prizes include Mercedes-Benz merchandise and items from the event's marketing partners, namely Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia, Crest Link, Epos, The Edge, TaylorMade, The Saujana Hotel, Carlsberg and Precise Rehab.

“Like our products, golf embodies the passion for perfection. Each swing has to be perfect every time. This strong connection between the game and our brand has led to the active involvement for Mercedes-Benz in this sport since its inception in 1989," said Michael Jopp, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.

"The MercedesTrophy is a sporting event that reflects the brilliant connection of sports and lifestyle while underlining the luxury status for Mercedes-Benz. The game always brings us back together for more and we are very proud to host this again in full swing this year.”

The MercedesTrophy is an international amateur tournament series held exclusively for Mercedes-Benz customers. Introduced in 1991, the series has now established itself as one of the most coveted golf events worldwide, hosting more than 60,000 golfers in over 60 countries each year.
