More than 100 golfers had an exhilarating time during the Under Armour Golf Day 2023 powered by MST Golf staged at the picturesque Templer Park Country Club on May 25.

The event was organised exclusively for members of MST Golf’s ilovegolf loyalty programme and Under Armour customers, who were joined by MST Golf Executive Chairman KP Low, UA Sports Malaysia Senior Marketing Manager, Lina Ismail and Thailand UA Golf Day winners Jirawan Chaiyanboon and Kan-Anek Saksricharoen.

Every participant received goodies which consisted of an Under Armour Golf Polo Tee, Under Armour Golf Cap and a sleeve of Wilson Golf Balls.

The golfers were treated to an exciting experience on Hole 8, where Garmin set up an activation area showcasing their innovative golfing technology. Participants had the opportunity to try out the Garmin Approach R10, a portable launch monitor and the Garmin Approach Z82, a laser range finder equipped with GPS.

At the end of play, Alex Yau conquered the day with an incredible 40 points, securing the coveted first-place position. Yau was not only showered with RM5,000 in cash but also received RM500 worth of Under Armour voucher.

Second place honours was achieved by Ahmad Fuad Murad who walked away with an Under Armour voucher RM2,500. Ahmad chalked up a total of 39 points to claim runner-up position on countback from Allan Chong Chee Wah, who went home with RM2,200 Under Armour Voucher.

The novelty contests saw an exciting outing with runner-up Ahmad Fuad securing the Nearest To Pin contest after landing his ball just seven feet and five inches from the pin on Hole 2. Ricky Yoh fired an accurate tee shot off Hole 14 to land it right on the line and won the Nearest To Line challenge. The Longest Drive contest at Hole 5 had a clear winner in Brett Keow Wee Siang as he smashed a drive of 300 meters down the fairway.

The winners were rewarded with a trove of Under Armour gear, including a towel, belt, umbrella, and duffel bag worth RM500.
The Best Dressed Award went to Nasarudeen, who turned heads with his impeccable fashion sense. As a reward, he received a pair of Under Armour HOVR Drive Tour 2 Golf shoes.

As the prize presentation drew to a close, the lucky draw added an extra touch of excitement, with the grand prize, a Garmin Approach S62 Golf Watch worth RM2,640, stealing the spotlight. Sponsored by Garmin, the prestigious watch became the highly sought-after reward among the participants.

Next on the ilovegolf tournament calendar, the upcoming TaylorMade Golf Day is set to take place at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club on June 14. ilovegolf members are eligible to enter with an entry fee of RM650, while non-members can join at RM450 per pax with the purchase of any TaylorMade Stealth 2 equipment.
