Malaysia's leading amateur Ashley Lau and Singapore professional Amanda Tan have advanced to the LPGA Q-Series after finishing in the top 45 and ties at the LPGA and Epson Tour Qualifying Stage 2 yesterday

Lau carded rounds of 71, 73, 76 and 73 at Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Florida, for T18 place on two-over-par 290, while Tan finished in T33 spot on five-over-par 293 (72, 72, 73-76).

The two other Malaysians in the field, Natasha Andrea Oon and Alyaa Abdulghany, finished T51 and T86 respectively and have earned eligibility for the Epson Tour, the official qualifying tour of the LPGA.

178 players had competed in the Stage 2 qualifier, with Korea's Seulki Lee and American Becca Huffer emerging as co-medalists on four-under-par as strong winds and rain resulted in difficult playing conditions.

A total of 50 players shot six-over-par or better and advanced to the gruelling two-week Q-Series in Alabama, which takes place at Magnolia Grove in Mobile (December 1-4) and Highland Oaks in Dothan (December 8-11).
